皆さん、どのくらい知っていますか？

1.to wait for:(to expect, await)
例）We waited for him more than an hour, then we left when he didn't come.

2.at last:(finally, after a long time)
例)Now that I am 16, at last I can drive.

3.as usual:(as always, customarily)
例）George is late for class again as usual.

4.to find out:(to get information, discover,learn)
例）I was unable to find out the name of the man who called.

5.to look at:(to direct the eyes toward, watch)
例）The teacher told us to look at the blackboard and not at our books.

6.to look for:(to search for, seek, try to find)
例）He has spent an hour looking for the pen which he lost.

7.all right:(satisfactory, correct, Sometimes used to mean "Yes.")
例）He said that it would be all right to wait in his office until he returned.

8.right here,right now, right there, etc.:(exactly here, immediately,
there,etc.)
例）He said that he would meet us right here on this street corner,

9.little by little:(gradually, by degrees,slowly)
例）If you study regularly each day, little by little your vocabulary will increase.

10.tired out:(extremely weary)
例）I have worked very hard today and am tired out,

11.to call on:(to visit)
例）Last night several friends called on us at our home.

12.never mind:(don't worry about it, do not bother or pay attention to it)
例）when he spilled his drink on my coat, I said "Never mind, It needed to be cleaned anyway."

先月からスタートしたEnglish Language Schoolで覚えましょう！
と出された課題のイディオムです。

簡単なものが多いですが、
簡単なものほど軽視しがち・・・

ざっと眼を通しても
いい勉強になりますよ。

1.to take part in:(participate,join)
例） I did not want to take part in their argument, so remained silent.

2.at all:(to any degree,in the least-generally used only a negative sense with "not" or "hardly")
例）He said that he did not have any money at all.

3.to look up:(to search fora word, a price, a telephone number,etc., )
例）Students should look up new words in their dictionaries.

4.to wait on:(to serve,attend to-in a store or restaurant)
例）A very pleasant young clerk waited on me in that shop yesterday.

5.at least:(a minimum of, no fewer or less than)
例）Gloria has been sick in bed for at least two months.

6.so far:(until or up to the present time)
例）How many idioms have we studied in this book so far, 42 or 142?

7.to take a walk:(to go for a walk, promenade)
例）Last evening we took a walk around the park.

8.to take a seat:(to sit down)
例）"Please take your seats,"the usher said."You are blocking the aisle."

9.to try on:(to test or put clothing on before buying)
例）He tried on several suits and finally picked out a blue one.

10.to think over:(to consider carefully before deciding)
例）I'll think over your offer and give you my answer tomorrow.

11.to take place:(to happen, occur)
例）The meeting took place in Constitution Hall.

12.to put away:(to set aside out of sight, return something to its proper place)
例）Mother always told us to put our toys away when we finished playing.

フランス語の教科書

今日はフランス語の授業でした！！

今、1週間に2回、フランス語の学校にいってます。
ここで使っている教科書を今日はご紹介しますね。

Grammaire Profressive du Francais
Niveau debutant

ここモントリオールで購入したテキストで文法中心の内容です。

最初のレッスンが「Vous etes japonais?（日本人ですか？）」から
始まるので、すごく親しみがわきます。

内容は、初心者の私でも比較的わかりやすい（もちろん辞書を
ひきながら・・・・・）。ただ、CDやテープといった音が聞けないのが残念です。。。

とにかく書きこんだり、読み返したりしています。

フランス語が会話として聞こえていくるにはまだまだ先です。。。。。
今は音の連続でしかないので・・・・
